My approach is layered and collaborative, together we’ll tackle your smoking habit on three levels:
Behavioural – how do you ‘do’ your smoking habit? Describing this in detail allows us to effectively disrupt those behavioural patterns to reshape your whole approach to the performance of smoking
Cognitive – what are your Big Ideas about yourself and your identity as a smoker or non-smoker? We identify and dismantle any negative self-talk that’s holding you back from that identity shift you long to make
Analytical – we’ll look at the circumstances in which you formed your smoking habit, who it affects beyond yourself and the emotions you attach to these, and use this insight to confirm and inform your new, decisive change of direction!
My Hypnotherapy for smoking cessation package is structured as a pair of one-hour sessions one week apart; the first prepares you for the change you’re about to make, and the second is where the change happens! In between, and in the week following the second session, I communicate with you by email to support the work we’ve done. The techniques I use are evidence based and I will include references to published research in my communications with you.
